Mitali and Ali first met in 2011, when they were set up on a blind date but one of Ali’s best friends, Natasha. Ali had just returned to Mumbai, after living in New Zealand, so he could take over the family business. Seven years later, on March 15, 2017, Mitali and Ali were married.
Ali’s mother, Sakina Shakeer, wanted the wedding to take place in Bali, since Mitali wanted a beach wedding, but the couple found out that they couldn’t fly their dog out of the country. So, instead, the couple were married at Planet Hollywood, a luxury beach resort in Goa, India.
